Start-up Ambit is offering an interesting entrant to the HR technology field: an app that could help confront modern communication challenges.
Wouldn’t it be great to know if your workplace change improved the quality of conversations? The technology from this Stanford-spawned could help you do just that. It can monitor and report on who speaks the most or least in meetings, how fast or slowly they speak, whether they are verbose or to the point, the role of rank or cultural background, and it can even infer from their tone of voice whether the speaker is fearful, confident, analytical and more.
While Ambit is currently positioned as a learning and coaching tool to help people communicate better, it may just have a role to play in measuring the impact of workplace change. Please use it responsibly!
