Their report uncovers some surprising mismatches between what employers and employees think creates stress. For example, employers rate "lack of work-life balance" as top stressor. Employees rank it as #5. 


It also shows that highly engaged employees are far more receptive to their employer's wellness initiatives than those less engaged.

Deloitte wastes 2 million hours a year in performance reviews that may not work. Isn’t it about time we reinvented performance management?

In a public survey Deloitte conducted recently, more than half the executives questioned (58%) believe that their current performance management approach drives neither employee engagement nor high performance.

The article points out that Gallup's research based on over 1 million employees found that those people who feel they have the opportunity to do their best every day are 38% more productive and 50% less likely to leave.
